The Brief
Their brief was to make best use of the existing structure, add open plan areas, incorporate a triple garage and orientate the house to take in the views of the woodland. In their words ‘turn an ugly ducking into a swan’.
The solution
We created a modern home that ticked all of the client’s boxes, including being an affordable renovation project. The complete transformation was completed Spring 2018 and we left the client with spaces that are fit for purpose and a home that bore little resemblance to the original.
We dropped a super modern cloak over the tired bungalow, rotated the house through 180 degrees and designed a feature modern entrance with a wow factor. We added a stunning open plan kitchen living dining area with a dramatic vaulted ceiling at the rear looking out over the woodland areas.
A particular achievement on this project was creating the look of a new build rather than an old house that’s been added to. We resolved this by using existing rooflines to create a seamless modernisation.
We left the clients with an extremely impressive modern home, designed with their specific needs in mind. A tailor made home which Paul and Suzanne are truly proud of.
